First Friday: Wine Walk

2024 Wine Walk, Friday, May 3rd, 4 pm -8 pm

Tickets now on sale! Stop by the Albany Visitors Association (122 SW Ferry St.) and purchase your Wine Walk ticket weekdays between 9 and 5. Advance tickets are by cash/check only.

Tickets are $20 (includes entry into the event, a wine glass, and 5 tasting tickets).

Tickets will also be available the day of the event and cards will be accepted. Advance ticket holders get the Express Line!

Sniffany’s Pet Boutique will be hosting West Hill Vineyards and will also be pouring “dog wine” for our furry friends to enjoy!

Can’t make it down on Friday? Want to include your pup? We’ll be pouring “dog wine” all day Saturday 5/4 as well!

Small Business Saturday

Everyone’s heard of Black Friday. It’s the biggest – and craziest – shopping day of the year just after Thanksgiving. In fact, Black Friday has now sunk its teeth into Thanksgiving night in an effort to lure more shoppers seeking amazing deals.

Small Business Saturday is different. You can see it and feel it in Downtown Albany the Saturday after Black Friday each Thanksgiving weekend. What is Small Business Saturday? It’s an opportunity to “Shop Small.” You can also save big at the same time.

Downtown Albany is proud of the many local, independent retailers who offer many unique products you’ll never find at a big box store. Many items are handcrafted and made in the Northwest. You won’t find the crowds or lines stretching around the block either.

What you will find at the Small Business Saturday event in Downtown Albany is the spirit of the season. The lit snowflakes on the light posts – an Albany tradition; the trees along 1st Avenue twinkling with white lights; the sounds of holiday music from the sidewalk inviting you into all the specialty shops or restaurants.

We’ll be supplying all the goodies you need to create the most delicious barkuterie board your dog has ever seen. Everyone will be creating their very own take home board, plus, we’ll have fun drinks and snacks for the humans too.

Celebrate Halloween in Downtown Albany with family-friendly Trick or Treating and a Costume Contest on Saturday, Oct. 28th. Trick-or-Treating is 11 am to 1 pm.

There will be lots of in-store sales and we’ll have extra special treats for the pups showing off the coolest tricks, and will be hosting our very own costume contest just for the dogs!

On Saturday, October 14th, Deluxe Brewing and Sinister Distilling are proud to host Dogtoberfest at Deluxe Brewing Company, 635 NE Water Ave. A celebration of our customers and their canine pets; there will be raffle prizes, a dog costume contest, themed food and drinks, a doggie pie-eating and much more! Sniffany’s will be hosting a photobooth with lots of goodies for the pups!

The event will be at the brewery from 1 to 5 p.m. All well-behaved, people- and dog-friendly dogs are welcome. Dogs must be fully
vaccinated, registered and on leash at all times (no retractable leashes, please). Admission to the event is free, and minors are welcome in the main brewery area.

Antiques in the Streets & Classic Car Show

From the Albany Downtown Association:

Celebrate the 24th annual Antiques in the Streets & Classic Car Show on Saturday, Sept. 9th, 2023 from  8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in historic Downtown Albany.

Spend a day leisurely strolling the streets. Buy fresh produce and baked goods at the Farmers’ Market, admire over a hundred vintage cars in the Classic Car Show, and browse through oodles of antiques on Broadalbin and 2nd Avenue, on display from vendors hailing from all over the Northwest!

Vendor wares range from glassware to furniture, dolls to fishing tackle, quilts, clothing, jewelry, and more!  Booths and cars cover all of Broadalbin Street from First Avenue to the Courthouse and onto 2nd and 3rd Avenues.

Need a break for lunch? Try out any of our amazing Downtown restaurants. Experience all of this and more while enjoying live music from local musicians. Proceeds from the Classic Car Show go to a different local charity each year. 2023 proceeds benefit a local charity yet to be announced.
